Holy Trinity Orthodox Church is a parish of the Eastern American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), an autonomous and self-governing part of the Russian Orthodox Church. We recognize His Holiness +KYRILL, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus', as our spiritual and ecclesial head, while remaining in full submission to our ruling hierarch, Metropolitan +NICHOLAS of Eastern America and New York.

Our rector is the Rev. Priest Peter Markevich, a Russian-American native of the San Francisco Bay Area. Upon completion of his university studies, Fr. Peter matriculated at Holy Trinity Seminary (Jordanville, NY), from whence he graduated with a Bachelor in Theology in 2013. He served for 10 years as a deacon at Holy Trinity Monastery before being ordained to the priesthood on Jan. 30 / Feb. 12, 2023. Fr. Peter has been serving at Holy Trinity Church since April of that year. On the Feast of Pentecost (May 22 / June 4, 2023), during an archpastoral visit to the parish, Metropolitan +Nicholas appointed him rector. Fr. Peter, Matushka Katharine, and their four children reside in Durham.

The church is administered by a parish council chaired by the rector and consisting of a starosta (warden), as well as several ex officio and at large members, all of whom are elected for regular intervals at the annual parish meeting in accordance with our bylaws.
