Due to necessity, our parish will often close for one or two weekends a year when our rector is absent. In such cases, our parishioners are blessed to attend and partake of the Holy Mysteries at any of the below local Orthodox churches. When visiting a new parish, it is appropriate to introduce oneself to the rector, either by contacting him beforehand or before the start of the service, and asking his blessing to approach the Chalice if that is one's intention.
