UPDATE: Preparatory work in Greensboro has been completed! Tomorrow's (Saturday's) work session is CANCELLED. The next step will be at our church on Sunday after liturgy.

Repair and preparation work on the new iconostasis continues July 25, Friday, beginning at 1:20 pm. We will continue to work in the church house behind Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church (802 Westridge Rd., Greensboro). Please contact Andrey at (919) 795-3927 or Alexander at (862) 703-0125 to volunteer or with any questions.

On Sunday, July 27th, we will begin preparations at our church for the installation. We ask all able-bodied men to stay after coffee hour as long as possible to aid in this work.

By the grace of God, over the next few weeks we will be preparing and installing a new iconostasis, as well as building a solea (raised platform for the altar) in our sanctuary. We need parishioners' assistance to make this happen!

Earlier this year, Holy Dormition Greek Orthodox Church in Greensboro, NC replaced their iconostasis and offered it to us. 

The project will require several stages of work. The first stage will take place this Friday, July 18 (n.s.) from 11-5 and Saturday, July 19 (n.s.) from 10-5. We will gather at Holy Dormition (address below) to lay out the pieces of the iconostasis, then number, repair, clean, and stain them, then wrap and number them in preparation for the move.
